Thankful Thursday

I start a new job today. One that I am very excited about and know that I can do well. I'll be writing and search engine optimizing a site (also known as search positioning). The site is The Homestead Company: Natural Skin Care that works. I'm especially thankful to have a job working for a company I can totally get behind based on their values, products, family life and the way they are building their company. Exciting things are happening!

Thankful also for my blog this is the first month that I will have made money off of it! Love a job that gives me creativity and flexibility to be with my children. Today I am so thankful!

I'm also thankful for the lunch I had yesterday with my friends from my old church. We had such a nice time getting reconnected and are already planning another day for us all to do it again. Love my old church and was missing my friends, well actually truth be told, my family. Thank you God for all you give me on a daily basis. Friends, family, job, children, a place to lay my head, food to cook, faith and so much more!

I had the nicest brunch with some good friends today. You need your friends to get through this crazy life. Here's a few things I'm thankful for today.

my crazy dog who makes me feel safe at home

my friends who love me as I am

mountain dew and diet coke...I know terrible choices...they are my one vice. Stop yelling at me about how bad they are...I know already. :P

my son and how well he's settling in at school (he's staying for chess club today)

my son who talks to me...a lot..

my daughter who wears clothes like madonna did in the 80's...where does she get her fashion sense...not from me!

my garden which is still giving me such yummy fresh food

the little bit of gas left in my tank (gotta hit the gas station in the morning)

eating lunch with my kids at their school...ok they'll eat and I'll watch.

Thankful Thursday

I love these Thankful Thursdays. It makes you appreciate life if you reflect on it at least once a week...or daily.

Today I'm thankful my dad is here from the hospital.
My son was supposed to begin riding the bus but looks like I'll be taking him today until his friend rides with him.
Thankful for the beautiful not too hot weather we've been having.
My garden.
My dh's job.
My health.
The ability to get the house cleaned/laundry done in a quiet house.
My dh making dinner last night while I went and had my dad's prescription filled.
A really good nights sleep.
Sweet friends.

Thankful Thursday

Today I am about to go and sit at the hospital hoping my dad does well at his cancer surgery again. I'm thankful that I've had 2 more years with him than I thought I was going too. I pray he does well and I get to bring him home on Saturday. If I don't post much these next few days that's why. Here's the rest of my Thankful list.

I'm thankful:
that my son has a good attitude about a new school
that my son isn't complaining about it (what a trooper)
that my youngest 2 have good teachers this year
that I am able to take them to and from school without having to worry about who will be there for them when they get home. I know it will be me!
I'm thankful for being a sahm and my dh not complaining about it and letting me with a great attitude.
that all bills are paid and food is on the table
that my crazy dog is here all day to keep me company
that I made fudge last night and it's so good
my children are healthy and happy and all in school (mostly the all in school part! Does that make me a bad mom? lol! :)

Thankful Thursday

I am so thankful to be back home. I'm thankful for the clean lines of my home (is that weird?).

Here's my thankful list for today:

1. my hubby who works so hard at his job to take care of his family

2. my children even when they are driving me crazy

3. Summer Camp and VBS

4. a good friend who is taking my girl to vbs since I couldn't get her there on time

5. transportation (bad car accident ahead of me makes me thankful I still have the ability to get where I need too!)

6. my garden and all the great veggies it is giving us to eat

7. picking blueberries with my mom

8. working out and walking Mon-Fri with my husband...every morning at 6am

9. children who clean (after expecting me to pick up after them for way too long with them having no jobs to do...yeah that's about to change.

10. having a long talk with a friend...i need more long talks with friends!

Thankful Thursday

As I sit here I have so much to be thankful for. Today I'm thankful for:

the beach

the sand

the water

kids playing in the surf

kids playing in the sand

cool drinks

grilling out at the ocean

snoozing on the sand

reading books while I watch them play

and most of all I am thankful to God that I am here to see my children do all these things. I am thankful.

Thankful Thursday (borrowed from my friend Patty)

today I'm thankful for my bank offering a sandwich generation workshop. I'll be attending it today at lunch. I can't wait to learn how to deal better with taking care of parents and children at the same time.

I'm thankful for friends that I'll see and spend time with this afternoon.

I'm thankful for lots of good, healthy food that I purchased yesterday and the pounds that have already fallen off.
