Seems like I only normally walk around 5000 steps. While on vacation I got up every morning at 6 and walked 1.5 miles in the morning and a mile in the evening. Today J had to be at work early so we walked at 5:45. It really is nice to walk early in the morning. So quiet and calm. I am so thankful for the simple joy of walking in the quiet of the morning. Getting up this early and walking helps keep me on a schedule. I think it will help my depression. So much that in a month or so I am going to try to get off my meds. Yay, exercise. What do you do to get in your exercise for the day?

I will follow back. I hope you feel good soon! Depression sucks.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I have started back running up the hill near our house. It feels really good to do it, and yes, just makes you feel happier, so I think you're on to something:)

Waking up early is definitely a great way to jump start your day. I wish I could do it more often, but I'm not a real morning person. Though when you have a 1 year old tugging on your arm at 6 am in the morning, then what choice do you really have...
ReplyDeleteI'm still wandering about your site. Just read about your Dad being sick and wanted to tell you how sorry I am about that. My Dad had cancer, I took care of him while he was sick. Hardest but most life changing thing I've ever done. I'll be thinking about you. xx
ReplyDeleteEarly in the morning is my thing. I've actually been dropping my two kiddos off at their summer program around 7:30-8:00 and then heading myself to the track where I do 1.5 miles walking/jogging 3 or 4 times a week. I can feel it working - both on my mood and my body. Feels great! You're right, exercise does a body good on so many levels. {{{HUGS}}}

I love walking early in the morning too:) I live in a place that's so beautiful... every weekend, I go hiking somewhere, just to take it all in... exercise has always been a big part of my life (gym, sport, running), but when you do it outside, it seems so much easier to breathe - especially when you're feeling a bit down:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your journey,
Kristina

I can't exercise right now, but when I do, I LOVE to walk early, early in the morning. The peacefulness is so nice. If I don't do it first thing in the morning, it won't get done.

My daily excersice comes from running after my 4 very active kiddos all day and then all 75 kids at our family daycare--- I think I get my 1000 or MORE by then ;) Friend from VB and new follower
ReplyDeleteMy best friend and I were walking 5 miles every evening, but it's over 100 degrees here right now and she fell and broke her leg...so I have 2 excuses not to exercise! :)

Dina,
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming and voting in Battle of The Leading Men. Actually, we had Bradley Cooper last week, and he lost to Mathew McConaughey. Too bad...he needed your vote!;) I love hearing the suggestions though:)

thank you everyone. Got my walk in at 5:30 this morning and it was so hot. I feel sorry for the people that work outside today. Heat index of 107 today. :( yuck.
