We just love to eat popcorn. However we tend to make it ourselves and we add lots of different spices to spice up the popcorn. We even have a great recipe for making it on the stove like we used to when I was a child. There were no microwaves then. Popcorn on the stove is in my opinion the best popcorn there is. You need to get your popcorn supplies ready for us to get popping.
Recipe 1 Best Popcorn on the Stove
1/4 cup of popcorn kernels
3 tbs of a stick of butter melted and hot on the stove
Add a 1/2 tsp of salt to the butter for equal distribution
Put a few kernels in the hot butter and when they start popping add the rest of the corn. Pull it off the eye and let them all heat up for 26 seconds and then put them back on the eye with a lid on your pan. Pulling it off the eye prevents it from burning. Once they start popping begin to move the pan around on top of the eye so that they are evenly heated and do not burn. When it begins to slow to a few seconds between pops pull it off the eye and enjoy.

Recipe 3 Chili Popcorn
3 quart popped popcorn
1.75 tbs butter or margarine, melted
.75 tbs Dijon mustard
2 teaspoons chili powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground cumin
Combine in a bowl and drizzle over the popcorn. YUMMY!
This popcorn is so unbelievably yummy. I always go a bit easy on the dijon mustard you can always add more but you can't take it out!
Let me just encourage you if you've never made your popcorn on the stove to try it. It is so much better for you and cheaper than anything you can get out of a microwave. Happy popping!
